This tutorial will walk you through all the stages necessary to create your own Faux Gemstone polymer clay beads.
This is a technique that I created about a year ago through various experiments. I've been asked many times to share how I create them and so I decided to create a tutorial.
This tutorial will walk you through creating my faux gemstone beads step by step.
There is 37 pages of info, every step is detailed and has accompanying pictures.
The tutorial is in .PDF format and has been written by me using Adobe Indesign.
It is suitable for beginner level as well as intermediate and advanced clayers but you should know how to condition and sand polymer, although I have linked to a tutorial on sanding if you're not experienced.
You will need a .pdf reader to enable you to view the tutorial.
I am available to mail if there are any steps you do not understand, I will try and help where possible.

All my ceramics are handmade from top quality stoneware clay and porcelain. They are fired to extremely high temperatures and should be pretty robust. As with any type of pottery, dropping onto hard surfaces is not recommended, as thinner items such as pendants and charms may break...beads should be good and bouncy!
All ceramics, unless otherwise stated should be fine for wearing in the shower/bath or in bad weather as the glaze makes them waterproof.
You can clean your ceramics by using a warm, damp cloth.
All items come from a non smoking household. I do have cats so you may be gifted with an errant hair, lol! (joking!)
